BRYSON EATON

About me:

Located in Cary, NC and serving the surrounding areas. I professionally shoot as a graduation photographer for surrounding universities such as; Chapel Hill, Meredith, Campbell, and Elon (Details below). Soon I will be traveling to do shoots nationwide for Highschool to University.

What do you do? - Basics

I take photos of anything; cars, flowers, mushrooms, portraits, graduation, prom, scenery, pets, wildlife, modeling, honestly if it’s better to say anything, anything. I am hired as a professional graduation photographer with Grad Images, Balfour Company. I am the one taking pictures of the handshake with the dean/president, the handing of diplomas, portraits, and candids (I come out to parents and take photos of the family and loved ones of the graduate after the ceremony).

Why a “Blurry Lens”? - Starting

It all started with the idea that a blurry lens has little to no focus, I decided to use that analogy to portray my idea on niches. I like taking photos of a wide range of things, there is no fine line, why stop at just portraits or family photos? As the saying goes, “Beauty is in the eye of the beholder”, and a lot of things in this world absolutely shine when seen through the viewfinder.

I get it, you are a photographer, but who are you? - Identity

Other than photography I do enjoy hiking; (April 2025) I got back from Denver, CO. I left just to go hiking in the mountains, covered up to waist deep in snow at times I trekked 10 miles with an elevation gain of 1,832ft at an elevation of 9,700ft in 1 1/2 days. Not to mention all the untracked miles the day before spent exploring the heart of Denver.

If I’m not out exploring a mountain getting mistaken for Bigfoot; I’m inside playing video games (racing and shooting games), drawing (like photography, a lot of stuff), listening to music (rock and rap mainly, but many genres I like), reading, writing (poetry), trying to make plans to a new place, and loving on my American Staffordshire Terrier, more commonly known as a Pit-bull, named Zofia. I also practice in poetry, specifically short based Haikus. I love the challenge of fitting a whole descriptive and emotional connection through a 5-7-5 syllable poem and a picture. I pursue the emotion of loss and apathy, love and care, and the finite amount of time through poetry, while showing beautiful photos as a hobby.

Photography? Why? - Ambition

I personally have always had an eye for the moment. I take pictures of what I enjoy, I believe the majority of people want a raw feeling of what they felt. As a practicing photographer I’ve been asked “why do you do what you do?”, my immediate response has always been “It’s what I enjoy, I sometimes see things others don’t and it’s just instinct to capture it”. For instance, I’m introduced to a great friend of someone but they split at some point. I follow the friend at a distance and take from their experience and then return to the main. The main subject is always in frame, but the side quests lead to amazing photos, leading to the host loving photos of the environment. Yes I am here to capture the moment, but I am also here for the event itself. The event and setting is my playing field. For example, if you want a family photo, I would like to meet at a park (Most instances this is what I will do). The kids can play at a park while we sit and talk about what is wanted, get a few photos of them playing. Once the kids are more accustom to the environment we’d go into the photo phase, I’ll carry my camera as we walk, keeping an eye out for locations and angles. I want a more chill, and comfortable setting. Over a fast paced, “here”, “there”, “now” type of shoot. I want everyone in their natural element.

Is photography it? - Goals in Expansion

Absolutely not, the end goal is to create a place all art styles can show themselves, especially for those who find it hard or don’t have the contacts or needed equipment. Even a place where those who want more of a silent approach to their craft.
