Travel Notes: Colorado; Saint Mary’s, Denver, Red Rocks

Current photos are taken during April of 2025 (Late Winter for the area); Why? I have always wanted to hike in the Rockies, so… I went for my birthday. This was a solo trip, I had little to no plans, nothing but gear and a general route. 3-Day trip, 1st day would be spent exploring downtown Denver. 2nd day marked a morning of exploring a little more and grabbing essentials for the trail. I would end up camping on top of a mountain, pitching my tent in dense fog as night crept. I woke up to the view of image #2, the morning of my birthday. The day would continue as you can visually see the sights I saw. The primary photo of the trip is #1, I wanted a picture of the highest peaks in the Front Range of the Rockies with a natural rock dam (Reynolds Lake Dam), Mt. James and Mt. Bancroft at an elevation of 13,271ft and 13,250ft. I would continue a furthermore total round trip (I passed my starting point in a loop) of 10 Miles at a starting elevation of 9,200ft and gain 1,822ft in less than half a day, and descend of 1,838ft the next half-day. The day ended with me by unknown forces, attending a rave at Red Rocks Amphitheater (A MUST, event of any type here), the best birthday was the one I swung off a bat (No pictures, I wanted to experience my first rave without distractions).
